Income:
'Seed' Money from Ken Canedo Concert: $651.00
97 keys sold @ $30.00: $2,910.00
Ladies Club donation $500.00
Additional donations $120.00
Total monies received $4,181.00
Expenses
Kawai 5'1" Baby Grand: $3,200.00
Moving & placement expense: $250.00
Piano dolly & cover $729.00
Total expenses: $4,179.00
As you can see, the Lord has provided exactly what was needed through the kind and loving interest and care of His people. The piano owner even discounted his asking price to accommodate our moving expenses. Many, many thanks and blessings to everyone for all your donations! Any additional contributions to the "Piano Fund" will be used for tuning expenses and for a cover for our existing piano as it takes up residence on the stage in the Parish Center. Thank you, Lora Heli.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEEDS YOUR HELP
The Holiday Bazaar is only one week away (November 13 & 14). Please support the children of this parish by donating crafts and homemade baked goods. For drop off times, contact Jody Patershall at 503-266-9411 or jpatershall@canby.com. Any help is greatly appreciated.
MEETING FOR ALL ELEMENTARY CATECHISTS
We will have a Catechist/Aide meeting this Sunday. Please come to share your thoughts and ideas, and help plan for the seasons of Advent and Christmas.
FIRST RECONCILIATION MEETING
There will be a First Reconciliation Parent/Child meeting on Monday, November 8th at 7:00pm in room 7/8. All parents and children who are preparing for this sacrament must attend this meeting. Our special guest speaker for this evening will be former Director of Religious Education, Sue Unger. All are welcome to attend.
SAFETY IN THE BUILDING
In order to ensure the safety of all the Elementary Religious Education students, I would like to have all parents/guardians drop their children off and pick them up in their classroom. The parking lot is very busy on Sunday mornings, so we want to make sure that children arrive and leave safely.
E-MAIL CHANGE
Jody has recently changed her email address. Please send all emails to: jpatershall@canby.com. Many Thanks!
NOVEMBER FOCUS
The Present
Life is full of things to worry about. There are big and small things. Some are far in the future and others in the short term future. What is the cause of these worries? If we look deeply, it is likely that many of these worries come from doubting our ability to make good choices. Try writing down a list of some of the things you worry about the most. Divide your list into things that will require a decision in the coming week, this year, and beyond this year. We do not have the ability to know the future. The fact is, that circumstances can change radically and what we worry about now may never happen. We need to let go of those worries and place them in God's hands. The ones that are on the list for this year require one basic question: Is there anything you can do today to help make that less of a worry? If yes, do it. If no, let go of it and put it in God's hands. Do the same for the worries of the current week. Your list should be down to zero now because you have let go of things you can't do anything about and you have done what you could about the others. If every time you find yourself worrying about something, you apply this basic rule: if there is anything you can do now, do it and if not let it go, you will find there is less stress in your life. All the time you spend worrying about the future can be better spent paying attention to the present. The little everyday choices we make prepare us to handle the big choices that will come in the future. But that means we have to pay attention to these little choices and make them conscious choices. Even choosing what to eat for breakfast, should be a conscious choice and not something we do while thinking about something else. The more we can live in the present, the better we will be prepared to handle the surprises that will come in the future.

A SPECIAL INVITATION
The Advent and Christmas seasons will soon by upon us and with them, an opportunity to sing some of the most beautiful music ever written. You are invited to join our Church Choir and add your voice in praise and prayer! Membership is open to all who enjoy singing, high school age student and older. The commitment is short-term: only a half dozen rehearsals in preparation for singing before and during Midnight Mass. In addition, we have the honor of singing at the Grotto's "Festival of Lights" on Sunday, December 26, at 6:00pm. You will find yourself truly blessed by becoming part of our music ministry. Rehearsals take place in the church on Saturday mornings from 9:30am to about 11:30am on the following days: November 6*, 13, 20 and December 4, 11 & 18 (*rehearsal in Parish Ctr. Conference Rm.) For more information, please call Lora Heli at 503-263-3840.
A MESSAGE TO THE CHILDREN OF ST. PATRICK'S PARISH:
CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH MIDDLE SCHOOL your voices are needed for our Christmas Eve and Epiphany liturgies!!! Come join the Children's choir to prepare the beautiful music for these celebrations. There are only 4 rehearsals scheduled and you will love all the songs we'll be learning. Rehearsals take place in the church after the 11:00am Mass-app. 12:20 to 1pm or shortly thereafter on the following dates: November 21, December 5, 12, 19. (There is no rehearsal scheduled on Thanksgiving weekend.)
The Children's Choir will be singing for the Family Mass on Christmas Eve (5pm) as well as for the Feast of the Epiphany on Jan. 2 at the 11:00am Mass. It is really vital that we have some older children in addition to the younger ones, so that there will be good leaders. Parents, please encourage your middle school sons and daughters to join the choir and develop some excellent leadership skills. Also, please come to the first rehearsal with your children to register and/or update their information. Thank you. For more information, please call Lora Heli at 503-263-3840.
